How to convert my shed into a arts and craft workshop for my hobby?
I have a large shed at the bottom of the garden. The shed already has a power supply and lighting. The power supply was fitted by a professional and im assuming seen as there is electric supply in there it is damp proof ect.
Now what i need to know is whats the cheapest way to turn my shed into a lovely little get away. It has no insulation on the walls and the need boarding over to make a flat surface for painting but i dont have a clue what sort of boards I would need for this. Do i need to insulate the shed, it gets quite warm in the summer but does have a double glazed window and lots of plug sockets. Im wondering if it would make a big difference to insulate it, instead of getting a heater off amazon for the winter. I wont be spending all day in there so…

Also can anyone give a rough guestimate for the boarding, flooring and insulation if needed, largish shed!
When I built my workshop, I watched the fliers from the local home centers until insulation came on sale. I insulated my shop with regular pink batt insulation, that had the paper on one side. I also waited till I saw OSB on sale, and covered the walls with that. I have a small wall mounted propane heater that heats my shop nicely in the winter. The shop is 24′X28′, and I live in MI….we get some sub-zero temps in the winter. If you can find some barn lumber for free, let me know! I’ve bought some from different people who tore an old barn down, and I’ve paid as much as $3.50/linear foot for it.
