I had a First Premier card with a credit limit of $300.00 ~ When I got my first bill is was $172.00!!!! because of fees ~ set-up fee, activation fee, annual fee, etc JUST FEES!!!

Anyway I called and wrote to have the card account cancelled/ closed and didn’t have to pay anything ~ my suggestion to you is to request it be close (instead of not activating it) because not activating the card doesn’t make you exempt from paying the bill because your account does exists but it’s just not being used and they can still bill you for the fees!!
