My bathroom fan quit working, but the light is fine. What happened?
We have a light/ fan combo in our bathroom (our house is only a year old) and the fan all of a sudden quit working, but the light is fine. I’m not very handy. Does anyone know what happened and how to fix it? Thanks!
The fan usually plugs into an outlet that is underneath it (inside the housing). It is possible that the vibration has loosened the plug. If that isn’t the case, then the motor has burned out. Depending on how old it is, you may be able to acquire a replacement motor. If not, then the whole assembly is fairly cheap to replace. Juat make sure that you get some measurements of the hole in your ceiling so you can get a unit that is close to the exact size. It will save you time and money on drywall repair/paint. Good Luck!
