Brinks security system at home disabled after a power outage.?

Brinks security system was not working well to a long power interruption of draining the battery system. When power returns, charging forward, but the screen remains blank keyboard. Sounds like the panel alarm has lost its programming. In theory, this should not happen because the program must be stored in nonvolatile memory. Most Brink's panels are designed especially for them and can not be used (at least legally) by someone else.
