That is an “iffy” question. The extra length adds extra load and the pitch of the 52″ blade, if steeper than the 42″ blade, will add even more load. The motor was sized for the 42″ blade and its pitch. Will the extra load be too much? The only way I know to find out is to take an amperage reading with the 42″ and another with the 52″ and see how it looks. Ceiling fan motors are certainly not the beefiest around and very much higher and you will overload the motor. Hope this helps you out.
