In the family "handyman" magazine, why have a minimum power projects described?
I read a copy of "The Family Handyman Magazine April 2010. I read others, but almost never shown any type of electrical projects, and when they do, are minimal, such as replacing a lamp, to repair a ceiling fan, etc. I would like to see one that shows, step by step to change a box a fuse panel circuit breakers. In comparison, the number in April 2010, shows how to replace the door. In my opinion, the installation of a breaker is much easier than installing a door, especially one another outside.
Three main reasons can be imagined. 1. Most municipalities require the services of an electrical contractor to do everything, but the simplest tasks. 2. They do not want the responsibility if it tells you how well advanced task. Litigation happy society, it is a request. 3. Many people are not smart enough to connect the black to black, white on white, red on red, green to green (or bare naked nudity or green) son without cause electric shock or fire. Brass screw terminals and terminals silver assignments have specific connection (black brass, white to silver). But in some cases, it is okay to connect a black wire to the base money on a switch. You can even connect a red wire to a switch or lamp. I see that can be confusing for some which are not connected to a larger one.
