Sounds like you are replacing a light with the fan/light, your 2 black2 and red will go together you’ll have to pull the string on whichever you want to turn off or on, the One Black wire is connected to the switch, so when the switch is on BOTH will have power to them if you do not hook up the red your light won’t work on the fan.
