Chandelier light has taken on many new roles in the house hold. Traditional spaces that have always used this type of light are still being used, but some very nontraditional spaces are also using it as well.

Traditional Areas

Traditionally these lights were hung in formal dining rooms, entrance ways, foyers, and great rooms. They have been around since before electricity was born when they were powered by candles, as a matter of fact even today there are some types of these lights that use light bulbs that mimic the look of candles. These types of lights are still used in the traditional areas.

Bathroom

Traditionally bathroom lighting has not really been given much thought. A simple fluorescent fixture hung over the mirror was always viewed as sufficient but today that has all changed it is not unusual today to walk into a bathroom and to find of all things hanging in the middle of the room a chandelier. This trend began in the nineteen nineties and has stuck around until today.

I want a ceiling fan and light that I can hang from the ceiling on hooks and plug into my 120v outlet. I do not want to install with wiring.

The best thing might be to put in a bracket and hang the fan from a drop rod. You can get several different lengths then before you hang it you can extend the wiring to the length desired.
