How do I re-attach the pull chain on my ceiling fan?

The ceiling fan is more than 10 years old, but otherwise is in good working order. It has 2 pull-chains; one for the light, that hangs from the center, and one for the fan speed, that hangs from the side. Recently, I tugged on the fan speed chain, and it detached from the inside, leaving nothing to re-attach a new chain to.

You can buy a new pull chain altogether. GB (Gardner Bender) makes them everyday. If your chain came out I dont see another way. Dont worry they are extremely easy to change out.
