While, curtains are style statements, we also have to coordinate them with our lifestyles. We have to keep in mind the easiness of cleaning them, changing them in intervals. The size of the curtains and heaviness of the fabric used make a lot of difference in offering the solution to the drawback of the rooms. Curtain is not just a fabric to cover the window anymore but it is a concept in the complete window treatment or rather the house designing.

When you decide to apply drapes to your rooms, you have to check them out during the day and not during evenings and nights to understand the required effects. However, it is also important that the curtain colors and texture matches with the theme of the room. The colors and textures you choose need to also look good during evening lights to get the required effect and look and to help create the needed mood.

While we decide to use fabrics according to our room requirements, we also have to keep in mind the beauty they may add to the room. Sheer or net material would help the day light seep in the room, the light breeze would make the drapes flow and add a delicate feel to the room. The thicker, heavier fabric would let the curtains fall firm protecting the window from extra sun light, extra wind and would give a cozy look to the room. Darker curtains with heavy material would make a room look warmer, closing in but lighter colors might give a smaller room an elegant effect.

Heavy sunlight falling on the fabric might result in fading it, hence it is important to use lining to the curtains. The lining material will also give a good fall to the curtain material and keep the shapes and designs intact especially the pleated style stitching. This lining material can be of coordinated colors and patterns to add the spice to the effect.

Like drawn curtain even pulled back curtains add beauty to the place. Curtains can be tied up by decorative strings and bangles to give a polite and neat look to the room instead of leaving them fluttering with the wind.

Thinking of curtains can really change the whole feel and look every time when you change them. It is expensive to change the wall paint, upholstery or wall papers often. It is impossible to change the way light and wind play in the room. Actually the hot shoe on the Sony does work, just not with anything but Minolta and Sony flash units … it is a proprietary hot shoe. The Vivitar is not Sony compatible and you will further have to check to see if it can be used as a slave flash before you start spending money on a pair of Pocket Wizards or other alternative master/slave combination.

Are you charging enough to budget for a DSLR in the near future? If so, continue using your incandescent lamps until you do and then once you have a DSLR, you will have a whole lot of studio flash options.

The manual does not show this flash is slave capable.
