Whether you have one Tiffany table lamp or a Tiffany floor lamp or a collection of stained glass lamps, they all instill a special glow.

But as with all things, there comes a time when you have to clean your lamp or light fixture. So how do you do that? In this article, I will tell you exactly how to clean your beautiful Meyda Tiffany lamp and make it shine even brighter than before.

First of all, as a safety precaution, disconnect any Meyda Tiffany lamp that you want to clean. Just unplug the wire from the outlet. Is your Meyda Tiffany lamp made of opaque stained glass or jadestone? If so, apply a furniture polish that’s lemon oil based to a soft cloth. Wipe the fixture gently.

Don’t use the furniture polish for mica or fabric shades. Just wipe the shades gently with a feather duster or a soft, dry cloth. If you have a Meyda light fixture that is made of transparent or beveled glass, a household cleaner that’s applied to a soft cloth will do the trick.

If you have Meyda lighting fixtures hanging in the kitchen, these fixures probably have layers of dirt or greasy build up; Mr Clean works best for those. For best results, put lemon oil based furniture polish when you’re done cleaning with Mr. Clean.

Put warm soapy water on a soft cloth if you have a Lithophane porcelain lamp that you want to clean. You can carefully use scouring powder if there’s a stain on a non-colored area. Clean and dry very gently… it can break quite easily. Remember to hold the Meyda lamp securely, since porcelain becomes slippery when wet.
