Can anyone think of material that celebrates plus-sized women for a contemporary performance piece?
My school holds an annual talent show, and I thought it was super boring (everyone sang and played a guitar or stood in place and sang to a karaoke track), so I decided I’m going to put together a contemporary performance piece for next year. I want to do a piece celebrating body acceptance, especially for plus-sized women, including song, dance (tap), and spoken word. I have some ideas, but does anyone know of any songs, poems, or anything else that portrays plus-sized women in a positive light, or encourages women to love themselves?
