From home decor to clothing to the type of music we prefer, etc. Well, she is always buying little knick knacks for our house, but again, 1) we don’t like the same things (the items she buys are very country-like & old fashioned & I’m more contemporary), 2) we have small home and just can’t fit all of these things in our home! She goes garage sale-ing constantly & just about every garage sale she goes to, she buys my husband and I something for the house. What is a polite way of telling her this is junk, ugly and/or don’t have room for it so please stop buying us this stuff! Any suggestions?
Thanks to all who posted! Yes, you are all right by saying “at least she’s thinking of us” & “she means well” which she really does mean well. I just rather not have yard sale items that people got rid of to de-clutter their house & now it’s cluttering mine! Anyways, thanks for the advice!
