There has been an increasing demand for Fenton “One of a Kind” custom creations over the past few years. Often on sites like eBay you will see titles with Fenton OOAK in it. These art glass pieces are not found in the Fenton art glass line up. Although they are authentic pieces, they have been re-painted or embellished a bit by various independent artists, thus the abbreviation OOAK (One of a Kind) that is becoming more and more popular these days.

Many of these custom pieces are done by formerly employed Fenton artists. Some collectors especially seek these people’s work out for their personal displays. But former Fenton artist’s are not the only creators of this popular art. There are many talented artists across the country customizing these quality art glass pieces with their own personal touch.

While hand painting additional patterns, florals or scenes is most common, a Fenton OOAK creation is not limited to just the brush. Some of these creative artists are incorporating swarovski crystal into their work! There are also some two tone color workings and shading, and even re-firing of the glass in some cases.

If you are looking for a truly one of a kind gift or a unique addition to your collection, these pieces can be worth checking out. From bears, cats, birds and other animals to bells, lamps and vases, more and more artists are employing their talent on these popular Fenton pieces and the work is often very detailed.

Will these pieces be worth anything in the future? That is hard to predict. As with all collectibles, the market will dictate that in time. Likely some of the former Fenton artist’s custom work will hold some sort of collectible value. It’s also possible some new artist’s names could be sought after with this new demand. These Fenton custom creations are, for the most part, elegant, beautiful and for sure, One of a Kind.

I have no true price, but it does look like a very good lamp, and since it is handpainted, then it is worth a lot.Perhaps a price could be 300 dollars? If i were you, i wouldnt really try to sell it for any more.
