Im getting married in oct.09 and am wearing a LIGHT champagne colored gown. A mix between Ivory and Champagne

I am wondering what to go with for the color scheme (ie. bridesmade dresses, flowers, decorations etc.) My reception site is beautiful with crystal chandeliers and a golden hue throughout. Im not a burgandy person so that is out. Any suggestions??

I’d suggest a champagne colour for the brides maids dresses but something very clean and simple. The shade of champagne should be at least one level darker than the champagne of your dress, something that compliments their skin tone and makes them look good but doesn’t detract from the main attraction…you. For flowers a nice fresh mix of off white and peach might look nice with some sprays of autumn green thrown in as an accent. Honey scented beeswax candles would look/smell nice (you can find them on EBay so start stocking up now) combined with babies breath. You might also want to cheque out Illuminations.com for some other candles for your reception. Candle light makes everyone and everything look exceptionally nice. This shall be your special day/night. It’s worth the effort to keep things nice and simple but elegant none the less.
