As I have actually used both methods for presentations myself I would prefer Powerpoint. Having also sat through both methods of presentations I again would say I prefer Powerpoint. As Powerpoint is definately more pleasing to the eye, makes the presentation on the whole more interesting and so keeping the audience full attention.
