Is there any way to restore burnt fabric to it’s original state?
I left a white blanket on top of a desk lamp and I forgot it was there and when I started to smell something burning, I immediately went to retrieve my poor white blanket, and, to my horror, I found that that foul lamp had left a dark, black circular mark on the middle of it. And the blanket was folded in two, so there are two dark black splotches in the middle of this blanket.
I’m crying right now, anyone know some way to return his poor white blanket to it’s original state? Please, anyone!
The last thing I would be willing to do it patch it up with some other fabric, but if that’s the only thing to do, well, I’ll be crying allot more this week

You can remove some of the colour of the burn by bleaching but you can never fix the fibres that have been damaged, and bleach will make the damage worse. It doesn’t make sense to patch it (unless it has sentimental value). It’s cheaper to buy a new one and throw out or recycle this one.
In the future, don’t put fabric of any kind near a heat source like a lamp, not for a second. You could have burned down your house and killed someone.
