Wall Planters have traditionally be made from ceramic or wire baskets with liners. Prices vary but it is possible to adorn your wall with a potted plant for approximately £8-£15. 1. SIZE.

It is approximately double the size of the standard wall planter. One planter pocket measures 61cm x38cm – it has a width of two standard ruler lengths. Most ceramic and wire basket planters would be lucky to reach 30cm in width.

2. PROMOTES HEALTHY PLANTS

The root system of the standard wall planter will eventually become pot bound if you do not re-pot the plant. The root system of the Woolly Pocket plant will not become pot bound. The Woolly Pocket allows a plant’s root system to breath thereby allowing the root system to be airpruned. The plants will be much happier and will only grow as big as the space provided in the Woolly Pocket.

3. INDOOR OUTDOOR

Woolly Pockets can be located indoors and outdoors whereas the ceramic wall planters tend to be for outdoor use only

4. CONSERVES WATER

When using the lined Woolly Pocket water is conserved. This is important as wall planters tend to dry out more readily than planting beds located on the ground.

What can I do to be a little greener?

I’m 20 years old and still live at home. I’d like to help the world become a little greener but I’m not sure how. I dont own my own home (still live at home with mom and step dad), so I cant really make chages to the home.

These are a few of the things I currently do:
Recycle (my whole family recycles)
The water that comes from our sink is really nasty, so we buy a lot of bottled water – but i’ve begun buying BIGGER bottles of water so that i’m not using so much plastic (rather than drinking a bunch of 16oz bottles, we buy the gallon bottles now)
I only wash my clothes with cold water, and i hang them out to dry rather than using the dryer
I pay my bills online and opt for no paper statements (to save paper)
I recently began planting seeds for a veggie garden with my young siblings.
I dont leave lights on and I do all those little things like shutting the tv off when im not watching it & unplugging the cell phone charger.

Anything else i can do?
