Stylish free standing bright floor lamp?
My tall halogen lamp just died and I need to replace it. I’m 30 years old, so I think its time to get a grownup lamp – ie, no more $15 cheap halogen lamps that fry bugs and smell like ashes. I need something really bright – I read a lot and have a dark apartment. I also need a floor lamp – something that can stand on its own.
I’m hoping for something neat to look at as well as functional, and within a graduate-student salary (under $100). Anyone have any suggestions? If you can provide a link to a place that delivers them, all the better!
IKEA, IKEA, IKEA! Half of my house is from there! I have a great floor lamp that was $70 and looks fantastic (it’s called the Kryssbo in the catalogue) that lights up the entire room, and they have some great ones that are less than $30– you could even get 2!
