Electrical – Did I install my vanity light fixture incorrectly?
I just changed my vanity fixture, now both the backplate & faceplate are warm to the touch. Is it supposed to be warm?Did I do something wrong?
I bought T3 -130V halogen bulbs for my fixture. The instructions say I need the T3′s 78mm, but does not say what voltage that I need. Should I be getting 110 or 120V? Do they even exist? Canada uses 110/120v correct? What’s the difference?
Halogen fixtures generally run a bit hot.
If there’s a difference in the operating temperature
after a lamp change, the question is did you use the
same WATTAGE lamps. (‘T3`s come in different
wattages).
The fixture will be marked with the correct lamp watt.s.
Use of a larger lamp will cause overheating, sometimes
to dangerous levels.
