How do you change a gu10 flood halogen bulb?
I bought a house that has nice track lighting, only to find that they use gu10 halogen bulbs that I can’t remove for the life of me and almost screamed when I saw I had a second bulb out.
I have tried the little suction cup plunger that the old owners left behind with extra light bulbs….trouble is that the plunger won’t suction cup to the original bulbs because they are flat across, however it will suction to the new bulbs that are curved on top. I have managed to get my fingers on the rim of the old bulb to try to twist and unlock but it seems that the only thing i’ve been successful at is loosening the base that the bulb plugs into.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I call it quits and have new lighting fixtures installed.
It’s just a simple turn anti clockwise, about a quater of a turn. The suction cup idea should work though keep trying. Good luck
