Im trying to install two ceiling fans in my home. We live in a 3rd floor apartment with high ceiligs. There are beams that go across in our double living room. On one of the beams theres an exsiting light hanging and on another beam there is an outlet there. I was wondering how difficult you think it woule be in install celing fans where the already exsiting wiring is. Any help..info…suggestions would be greatly appricated.

Not difficult though you probably will be able to run only one function of the fan off the wall switch, other functions with pull chains – which is no big deal if you really need ceiling fans. Just decide which function is more important to run off the wall switch. I’m female and have installed a number of ceiling fans over the years – where there was existing wiring.
