If you have ever been to a hospital, and most people have, then you are familiar with hospital curtains and what they look like. Almost every room in the hospital has these drapes. Hospital curtains are typically found surrounding beds in hospital wards, or in the emergency room.

In rooms that are occupied by multiple patients, hospital curtains are placed between the beds to give them some amount of privacy from the other patients, as well as from people walking in the corridors in case the door to the room is open. They also provide the patient with extra warmth during cold weather, or when the air conditioning’s thermostat is too low.

Hospitals replace their curtains often, maybe once a year or even more frequently for some. These used hospital curtains are then donated to charity institutions, who then usually put them on sale at very low prices. For someone who is in need of curtains for their home, and does not have a huge budget to splurge on more luxurious drapes, these charity sales are a gold mine.

At this point, you might be skeptical. Hospital curtains are definitely not popular for their aesthetic value. On the contrary, they are boring and dull, and you definitely do not want your house to look like an emergency room. So how will hospital curtains fit into your carefully planned house design?

First of all, you do not have to use the curtains just as you had found them. You can always treat them with bleach or dye. If you are creative, you can embellish them with ribbons or lace or other sorts of trimmings. Just by using your imagination, you can turn these drab pieces of linen into works of art. No one will ever have to know what they originally were.

Once you have redesigned the hospital curtains, you can now put them up all over your house, just like any other regular curtain. You can hang them on windows, or you can also use them like they were used in the hospital; that is, place them on a curved curtain rod around your bed. You will be pleasantly surprised by the additional warmth these curtains can provide you especially in the cold winter months.

Well, he’s being honest about one thing – he doesn’t feel he has your respect. It is clear to me that he is suffering in the self-esteem department.

My advice is as follows:
Create a new Word document. Type up things you would say to him as someone you love, cherish, and admire. Describe the his physical traits that get you purring. Point out the strengths of his character and intellect. Tell him he makes your girlfriends jealous. Now review what you’ve written and polish it. Finally, buy a card (perhaps in the Thank You category) and hand-write your message for him, and sign it. Leave the card on his dashboard for him before he drives to work.

It won’t give you the retaliation you may feel inclined to, but it should change his attitude and remind him that you love him dearly.
