Looking for recommendations for video surveillance equipment.?
I'm looking for a way similar webcams and used for security at home. I suppose I could get a computer that has multiple USB ports, or the equivalent and would be devoted solely to that purpose. I would like to use a broadband connection speed images off site (not all the time), having a UPS (10-15 minutes in length). I think about 4-6 cameras are managed by software. I like the mid-range camera - low light CCD camera or probably not necessary, unless the tool of choice for the job. So basically, I'm looking for equipment, software, cameras and UPS. I no need to comment on a home network or bandwidth. computer is not a problem, apart and not moving (tormented, probably). The operating system is not as important (Unix, it is preferable but not necessary) The cameras can be stationary or mobile - in I did not understand how to ask yet. Suggestions?
