Stop a squeaky ceiling fan?

I got a brand new ceiling fan, which squeaks a lot. I have another that does the same thing. Is it possible to fix this, and if so, how?! Thanks!
If WD-40 works, how do I apply it? Do I have to take the whole fan apart and off the ceiling? More convenient=more better

Spray the WD-40 or Silicone Spray on the shaft where it enters the motor. You can also turn the fan off and spray inside the motor to try to lubricate it.
