How do I remove burnt candle wax smell?
I recently moved into a new apartment. I accidentally spilled some of the wax from my peppermint scented candle onto my natural gas heater, in the inside part where the metal gets really really hot. When I turned on the heater, all the wax burned off, but it left this really bad smell in my new place. Will this scent ever go away and how can I get rid of it? I’ve tried opening all the window and turning on the ceiling fans and leaving it like that all day. I tried plugging in one of those scent burners into my bathroom wall (the oil was vanilla) and I even tried making microwave popcorn, to see if the popcorn smell would replace the burned candle wax smell, but to no avail. If anyone can help, thanks so much.
Try putting 1/2 bottle of cinnamon spice into a large pot of boiling water. Continue at a low boil or simmer for 6-7 hours. You may need to add more water, so keep an eye on it.
If you still notice any burnt smell the next day, repeat the process with fresh cinnamon.
Can you safely place a pot of hot water on top of this heater?
If so, this might be a good location for heating the cinnamon water.
