Social or Shy?
Sorry for posting this in wrong section but I have a question and plus story.
I get teased a lot by kids because I’m shy and have no boyfriend. I had it enough last night, when I was playing basketball for Homecoming, I just dove and grab the ball, very aggressivly and got knocked in ear but still played and didn’t shed a tear, like I used to.
Lot of kids and coaches was shocked, impressed by me. They was like “Wow, good job!” I felt little better and talked to other team, didn’t feel nervous at all, like I wasn’t shy at all.
I met 6-7 new friends, joined all of party games, chatted, laughed, and had tons of fun.
Now I’m little more confident, and when I got home, I did little of Soulja Boy dance since I was so proud of myself for coming out of my shell.
I have a question. Is it possible to be shy then when you show your true side, you get a rush and feel good, will that help you to be little more sociable?
I used to be very shy when I was young, now it takes a lot to get my glasses to fog up.. but they do when I’m in a humbling situation. 
I got out of my shyness when I had the opportunity to do something and I saw appreciation for it.. as it did with you.. They were not all in the same area, likely a common thing, but with each pride inducing event I get further away from my shy personality and ahead in my social life.
One more thing about being shy, it’s a virtue when you have enough of it… shy people do not like to be embarrassed, so they do less intentional wrong doing to avoid it. Sounds logical?
