Why when a question arises of who was the father of India, only one answer comes to every Indian’s mind i.e. Late Mr. Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi, which proves that there must be something in that gentleman that all Indians still remember him as father of the nation. Indian’s had had the honour of having a lady who helped many needy and helpless people to live their lives with great respect, who has actually designed their lives and helped them to stand on their own feet in this world; it was none other but Late Mother Teresa, the lady who devoted all her life in the well being of people of India. However, to become a parent of anyone like country, child or any human being, one should not think about benefit. However in whole how the preaching’s given to the young minds will affect the community?
Indian Parents: So Old but so Young
As mentioned above, the approach opted by the parents in India is quite different. Indian movie industry famously named as Bollywood still making movies on old approach followed by various leaders of India during Independence i.e. truth and non violence. Movies made on such subjects were not only breaking records in terms of business, however, were also grabbing national awards. It is true that all the across the globe parents care about their children’s, but in India parents have different kind of attachment and expectations, Joint family system, although depleting but very slowly. Arrange marriages – which were simply defined as marriages made in heaven. Bride & Bridegroom were very happy to spend their whole life with a person selected by their parents, and it was also believed in India that if you reincarnate then you would meet the same person for next seven times you were born on Earth and get married to him/her.
Middle class: Modern yet Sophisticated
Indian middle class have a totally different definition in this modern world. In India’s metropolitan cities youth have different lifestyle and way of thinking. They enjoy their life with all modern day facilities. With coming of multinationals in India, people are moving abroad settling down at various places across the globe. Accepting and involving themselves with new cultures and traditions. Trend of nuclear families is increasing as women were becoming a part of growing work force. Literacy rates have been increased and jobs are available in tier – 1 an tier – 2 cities. However, still much of the travelling in India was always directed to religious places, binding this growing middle class with their culture and traditions. Fulfilling basic needs of parents and taking care of them was always a priority. Children’s earn respect and society was always grateful to those who have managed their parents and family together. Such children’s’ have always became examples for others.
Introspection time: Parents & Children’s
With culture and traditions connected together and having in mind that how parents contributed in the development of the young’s; it is high time for them to understand the value of parents. As they were those who have supported their education and made them standing in this world of versatile cultures? Allowing them to move forward and take opportunities notwithstanding the fact that they may move away from them.
It cannot be denied that there were such Indian youth who have responded well and with growing salaries so many of them have brought their parents from remotest of areas to the big cities, fact holds true, as we may see the size of important cities expended substantially, but the figures were quite minuscule. Thrust should be given to such kind of initiatives and opportunity should always being provided to parents to acquaint themselves with the modern lifestyle.

I need some information on an artist J Cliff Hutchins?
I think that he is an American artist. I have a print of an Indian drinking water from a mountain pool using a pottery bowl.
Thanks for your help. That is the name on the print. Also, there is a copyright (circle c) followed by M&B. INC. N.Y. I do not have a photo. The print is of a style of Indian/Southwest prints that were use on some of the railroad calendars in the 40′s and 50′s.

Melichthys indicus Indian Trigger - Medium
$99.99 This large trigger is a beautiful deep grey to black color with a light blue stripe at the base of the dorsal and anal fins and edging the tail. Darker stripes also cross the top of the head and the chin of this fish. The Indian Trigger ( Melichthys indicus ) is very similar to the Black Trigger ( M. niger ). The key difference is the white margin around the tail of the Indian Trigger that is lacking in the Black Trigger. Triggerfish are easily recognized by their distinct body shape and a thick dorsal spike that can be raised and lowered at will. When these fish feels threatened, is ready for sleep at night, or wants to secure itself against strong wave action, it can use the spine to wedge itself into a hole or crevice. Once a trigger has secured itself, it is next to impossible to remove it from its hiding place. These fish may lay on the bottom of the tank or hide in a corner if they can't find an adequate place to feel secure, so they appreciate rock or other ornaments where that can retreat. Use caution when netting these fish as the spines and rough scales can become tangled in the mesh. Triggerfish are voracious carnivores and will need to be fed a varied diet of meaty foods including freeze-dried or frozen clam, krill, shrimp, and other similar items. They generally cannot be housed with inverts such as crabs, clams, urchins or crabs as these will be seen as a quick snack. Tank mates should be chosen carefully, and they should be large enough and tough enough to hold their own against a feisty trigger. Be aware that these are very active fish, spending most of their time in the open searching for food or other fish to chase. Some can be downright mean, killing tank mates or biting electrical cords, fingers, or anything else that breaks the water's surface. Be aware of the temperament of any trigger species you may want to house in a tank before they are introduced. Even small triggers can cause big issues as they mature or become established. Triggers from the genera Pseudobalistes , Rhinecanthus , Balistes and Balistoides are generally the most aggressive species and should not be kept with corals, inverts or small fish. Odonus , Melichthys , and Xanthichthys genera are generally less aggressive or destructive and some may even be kept successfully in community or reef aquariums but be aware that they still may prey on inverts (especially crustaceans) or on smaller tankmates. |
