Your fuel line may be clogged or pinched. Turn the gas off and disconnect the line at both ends. Using an air compressor, a small one will do, hold the line vertical to the ground and send air through it. If it’s not clogged or pinched, you should be able to this several times and the pressure will remain steady. If there is a leak, you can send soapy water through, followed by a steady stream of air–you’ll see bubbles at the leak spot. If it’s pinched, you’ll get blowback. You might want to check your propane level first in case you have a leaky valve or didn’t fill the tank. You could also have a defective release valve which needs to be replaced. As for cleaning the burner, try foaming stove cleaner to get rid of the surface crud, then use soap and water to soak it for a couple of hours, then get a pipe brush and carefully clean the apertures. I recommend Dawn dishwashing liquid for that cleaning. If that doesn’t work, consider investing in a new stove.
