Bathroom Fan/Light Combo Installation?

My husband & I are in the process of remodeling our bathroom. Last night we re-placed the light fixture over the sink/mirror. However, we have run into a little problem. The light fixture we just installed unfortunately does not supply enough light for our toilet/shower/tub area. We currently have a exhaust fan above (ceiling) the toilet. Can I replace this fan with a fan/light combo using the existing wires? I should also mention that we have 1 switch in this bathroom that controls both the light and fan (meaning, this switch turns on the light & fan at the same time, as well as turning it off). Please note, we have yet to take apart the current fan to see the wires.

your going to have a balck and a white wire comming from the switch for sure.

you can replace the fan with a fan light combo, the fan light combo will come with 2 white wires and 2 black wires.

very simple all the whites together, all the blacks togeter.

now there maybe some other things going on on the old exhast fan electricly just very carefull make as to were each wire goes , and place them back together in new fan/light combo.

hopefully all you have is the first senerio i typed, but if the second exist just mark everything very carefull as to understand how it goes back together in new fixture.
