My Lava lamp broke! Help pleaseee? =’(?

My lava lamp can’t be kept on for more than eight hours. I time it every day and make sure it doesn’t go over. one day, I put it on, left for about an hour and came back. Suddenly, it was just a blob floating in the middle of the liquid, about to separate but then it just stayed a blob. I turned the light off right away. It’s been off for days, but it hasn’t moved. I just got this lava lamp on Christmas and I followed all the instructions. Why did it stop working???

Plug it in. Before my lava lamp got messed up I left it plugged in all day everyday for a year. Just because it has 1 blob in the middle doesn’t mean it’s broken; it’s probably just not hot or cool enough to separate.
