Low voltage recessed lighting is also great for creating ambiance in a particular room, because it allows for a wide variety of dimming switches to be installed, so the amount of light can be controlled at any given time. And since less light is needed than with line voltage, less space is needed when it comes to installing them.

Smaller holes need to be made in the wall or ceiling, and less lighting fixtures need to be installed, which means less tearing up of walls and ceilings. This also makes this type of lighting a popular choice for builders and contractors.

And low voltage recessed lighting also ranks highly when it comes to safety and waste reduction. Because they have a fraction of the voltage flowing through them than regular line voltage, there is less chance of electrical shock or fire.
