Types of Unique Lamps

One of the most popular kinds of unique lamps is lava lamps. Lava lamps are tall table lamps that use heat and wax to create color bubbles and movement within the lamp. When plugged in, these lamps create enough heat to move the colored wax in the main frame of the lamp. When this occurs, the wax starts to move and create bubbles. These unique lamps were extremely popular in the 1960s and have been around ever since. These lamps aren’t particularly functional because they don’t caste much light. However, they are great for decoration.

Another unique lamp that got a lot of attention in the 1990s is the Clapper. The Clapper is a lamp that turns on and off when a person claps their hands. This unique lamp allows its users to stay on the couch while dimming movie lights. This unique lamp is extremely functional especially in living rooms and bedrooms.

Lava lamps and other unique lamps can easily be found on line. Ebay has a lot of different lava lamps for sale. You might be able to find a lava lamp in a store like Target. Department stores tend to carry these lamps in their home decorating section when the lamps are in style.
