Have you noticed that kitchen upgrades and remodeling concepts seem to be a constant thread in the latest DIY and home improvement shows? Updating your kitchen is one of the most effective ways to give your home a fresh look and increase its value. There are many things that can go into a kitchen upgrade/remodel such as flooring, cabinets, the latest appliances and of course new lighting fixtures to ensure all the upgrades are showcased with proper illumination. One way to add that special designer touch to your kitchen upgrade is with under cabinet lighting.

In the past you only had one option for under cabinet lighting and that was fluorescent tubes. Then a years ago we were introduced to low voltage Xenon fixtures. The nice thing about these fixtures is that they are fairly simple to install, as is the florescent, but they do have maintenance items that eventually require replacement. The xenon fixture has a transformer on the inside and the florescent fixture has a ballast that will have to be replaced, the bulbs will also eventually burn out and have to be replaced. Another issued to be aware of is that both of these fixtures produce heat that seeps up into the cabinet.

The food that you are preparing will look beautiful as well.

LED fixtures are very slim which allows the fixture to be placed nearer the front of the cabinet. Bringing the light forward ensures the light will be distributed directly to the middle of the work surface. The LED system is fairly easy to install and comes with a host of options that you won’t find with other systems, like a 3 level dimmer, a night light and multiple fixture sizes from an 18″ strip to a 3″ puck light. While there are many choices in fixture size, you will want to avoid mixing manufacturers to ensure color uniformity. Not all LED’s are created equal and some have varying degrees of light level.

With better quality light, energy savings and bulbs that never need replacing – LED under cabinet fixtures are the wise choice for any kitchen upgrade or remodel.

Installed LED bulbs now my blinker is very fast.?

I know I need to probably add something since a LED bulb doesn’t pull as many amps as a regular bulb the flasher thinks there is a burnt out bulb. Can anyone help with what I need? If it matters its a ’06 F150
Do you or anyone else answering know what I can use to fix that problem? Im sure there has to be a resistor I can add somewhere in there right?

It has difference resistance and the circuit thinks there is a short. I get that at my shop once a week.
