Are basic in home light sockets built with a predetermined wattage use?
What I mean by that is, the normal round light bulb sockets we find in just about every home in America. Do they have a set wattage for use? the basis that of. “This product was manufactured to be used with 60 watt bulbs.” Do our sockets have a set wattage? and if they do would using a higher or lower wattage risk the life expectancy of the fixture?
If you look at the socket, there will be a rating stamped or printed somewhere on the socket.
