I have light to med strip oak floors in entrance , with beige carpet on both sides in den and LR?
The kitchen is open to the FR (which has beige carpet)…in the kitchen is a brown style flooring…nice but I had wanted to continue with the oak flooring from the entrance into the kitchen. It is a really big kitchen with a huge center island. My dilemma is my kitchen cabinetry is also light -med oak. I am afraid the the oak flooring next to all the oak cabinetry especially the center island , will look weird like to much ..a wash of oak so to speak..won’t be able to distinguis floor from cabinets….any views..has anyone seen this ..what does it look like..thanks..PS I do not want to change the cabinetry
Wood floors can be installed with a border going around the edges of the kitchen. You could use a border in dark slate, a darker wood, non-slip porcelain tile, or Dura tile that simulates stone. The look would be great with any one.
