im doing a paper mache but when i tried to paint it, the newspaper is showing from beneath! how can i hide it?
im making a lamp shade so i used a balloon as my base and applied newspapers to make the mold. i dried my project so i wanted to paint it with acrylic paint but as i was painting, i figured that the newspaper of the mold is showing very clearly from beneath! how can i not show my mold and make my project opaque? did i do something wrong?
Get some acrylic Gesso and prime your lamp shade before painting. Not only will it keep the newsprint from showing through it will give you a white base to start with and that will make your colors more true.
