Can I safely put a 75W bulb in a fixture that is rated for 60W, since I want to maximize the light output?

This is an outdoor post fixture that accepts an E26 standard base bulb. Is the additional 15W a safety hazard? Thank you.

well the rating means anything over 60w is a hazard, so I assume your question is how big of a hazard? I’m guessing there is a margin for error in the rating that would keep a 75w from burning the thing up. Since its an outdoor fixture I guess the biggest risk is that the 75watt melts some components over time and eventually the insulation fails and you have an electric shock risk in the rain etc.

I would stick to the rating if it was me
