If you want to do your bit in helping to save the environment, little steps can go a long way. Many people think that they may be unable to do anything of note to help improve the situation but this is not true. Some of the biggest energy wastes in recent times has been through light bulbs being burned at all times of the day. For people looking to make a change at home, replacing their existing light bulbs with an energy light bulb system is a tremendous way to make a positive change. It may not be a massive thing to move to these energy bulbs but if everyone was to do it, it would make a massive difference to the world.

Another great benefit that comes from using the bulb is the greatly reduced amount of heat that is created from them. The traditional light bulbs would waste a high percentage of their energy as heat, which is extremely inefficient. This caused an overheating of certain areas and a poor return for the cost of the energy that was being used up. This meant the cost of running the light bulbs was bringing back a poor return for the cost.

Also, as so much energy was being used up on heat, the bulbs would not last as long as they should have done. This meant that the bulbs would have to be replaced on a regular basis, costing a lot of money in the long run. What color should I have for drapes?

I am trying to find drapes, or even fabric to make my own drapes, but I can’t decide on what color to pick. Three of the bedroom walls are lavender and the fourth wall is a deep/dark purple, and I have aqua accents (lamps, throw pillows, etc.). I have two windows on a lavender wall and one window on the dark purple wall … any ideas of which color to have the drapes??

The colors this year are silver/grey and purple so you are in style , if you get lamps get them in brushed chrome finish and the ssplashof tTurqoisewill look good with the purple ,lLavenderand grey , you could also introduce a tiny bit of white like a flower for example. I will try to find a picture for you so keep looking at my answer for an up date

now in regard of the window if you have a lot of sunlight coming in during the day and also need privacy you are best to put up some blinds , the kind all depends on your budget , if you get Venitians they are not as expensive , keep them white this way if later on you decide to repaint your room you wont need to change the blinds as well . I will now look for some fabric for you , I shall be back soon !

I have found some sheer panels if you like them you could combine 1, 2 or 3 colours together to obtain a prper fullness .
