I want to re-cover my floor lamp. The shade is a cylinder shape. Is it necessary to use the lamp shadow on the special paper or any type of paper is going to regulate / card do? Thanks

Do you need to re-cover or replace your own shadow? If you need to re-cover a lampshade (shadow and intact), this is what I did: I bought two yards of cheap fabric from Walmart. I made an outline of the shadow a regular pattern bag.A brown paper if you will. After cutting the pattern, I just grabbed my hot glue gun and attached the fabric faithful carfeully the shade.Make sure there are no air bubbles. Also be careful with the hot glue gun because the glue that burns!
