My pendant light fitting has stopped working – its connected to dimmer switch.?

Replaced the triple contemporary light fitting with a simple pendant as I thought the fitting was faulty – put the fuse back in but it just flickered a tiny amount and then went out. (I had an energy saving bulb in and then tried a normal bulb) Is the fault with the dimmer switch rather than light fitting?? Can I replace with a simple switch?

It’s most likely you’re dimmer, they don’t all work with energy saving bulbs. You can replace with a normal switch.
