$432 The Tech Lighting Recessed Remote Transformer: this remote magnetic transformer converts standard 120 or 277 volt line-voltage to 12 volts or 24 volts (depending on option chosen). This will provide the necessary voltage to power a Monopoint, Monorail, Wall Monorail or Freejack low-voltage, single or dual-feed lighting system. This transformer must be used with a power feed canopy or other power feed option (sold separately). The 12 volt output transformers require the use of 12 volt lamps; the 24 volt output transformers require the use of 24 volt lamps. Can be used to power lamps totaling up to 300 watts and is equipped with a fast-acting secondary circuit breaker that will safely turn off the system should a short occur. Once the short has been removed the breaker can be reset. This transformer is recessed into the wall. To simplify installation the transformer should be located no more than 20 feet from the run or power feed. The electrician will need to supply the proper gauge conductor from the transformer to the power feed location based on distance. This transformer is dimmable with a 600 watt low-voltage magnetic dimmer (not included). The dimmer is placed on the line side of the transformer. Consult the dimmer manufacturer for more specifics on dimmer installation and use.
