Spray paint and odd objects can be your best friends when it comes to giving furniture a make out. I tried this cool technique on a coffee table in my house, I sprayed it with black spray paint, then I took a old (it was either a old wide lace pattern curtain or table clothe) I put it over the table and misted lightly with another color, for instance, I used a super fine gold metalic spray pain. Turned out AWESOME and feminine and the spray paint gave it a full proof and rough finish. Flat black is always amazing on furniture, and if you are having storage solutions problems…Go to a local convenience store and ask them for some milk crates. Paint them with spray paint your desired color, and you can use them to sort shoes, store books (to free up that display space) and organize your stuff. Try painting part of a wall or door with chalk board paint, so you could write reminders, or your friends could leave a note. Use old painted cookie sheets screwed to the walls and get cute magnets to hang up pictures and other things.
