When plants tulips, you are sure that you put tulip bulbs in the best soil to grow? If you have questions about the cultivation of tulips as you Plan your spring garden, consider these gardening tips.

Let me explain. I like tulips, even though the scene is flowers two to three weeks' time from mid-March to late May last fall I planted about 60 purple tulip bulbs in my yard. I was hoping anxiously for spring to come so I can enjoy these beautiful flowers. The winter was long and cold, with snowfalls that previous years. So, I was ready for the coming spring. But I was surprised.

Bulbs of 60 flowers, I planted a single tulip flower grew and prospered. I do not understand. Later this spring, I planted my joys. When I went to dig my tulip bulbs, I discovered that they were soft and heavy – like pickled onions. Ground was so saturated wet bulb became sponges, not flowers! Then I realized that the layer of clay under the soil surface caused the problem.

Tulips grow best in a soil that drains better. The origin of tulips is in Turkey, where the soil is very sandy and porous. When merchants began to bring the bulbs to plant tulips in Holland, the sandy ground was perfect and many areas were a garden of flowers, one after another.

Before planning your garden of tulips, make sure to dig down about two feet or more to see what the underlying soil is similar. If you have a layer of clay near the surface, deeper and replace the dark clay soil over rich. You can buy a bag of 30 pounds of soil in a home improvement center for under two dollars.

Thus, when the plant tulips, check the soil. Good soil is a porous soil. And make sure before tulip bulbs are planted safe, you know the rest of the secrets of planting tulips in the best garden design that you please next spring.

How often should I water the bulbs after planting?

I planted bulbs in the garden of my house and I have watered after planting. How many times do I have to water until they rise?

They are generally able to draw moisture they need (the bulbs of spring and autumn) soil. Not mine water (tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, etc..) Some summer flowering certainly need irrigation, However, like all perennials. Good luck, I can not wait to see some flowers soon!
