Best and Worst “Christian” Fiction?
Anyone care to nominate the Best or Worst piece of Christian literature they’ve come across. I mean novels primarily so no gags about the Bible or Quran etc being fiction please!
You can nominate poets and poetry too!
For best writers I would like to nominate Bunyan for Pilgrim’s Progess and Donne’s Sonnets.
For worst any of Tim La Hayes books which is so badly written they make Clive Cussler’s adventure thrillers look like Nobel Prize material. (much as I enjoy Clive Cussler’s works for LIGHT reading they are definitely not spiritual!)
The worst – by far. Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti’s House … It should be loaded onto airplanes and used to bomb Baghdad. Or maybe to build artificial reefs at the South Pole.
It is by far the worst book ever written. I finished it and took it back to Barnes and Noble who happily refunded my money. The guy at the counter said it sucked, too. The book had not one but TWO authors and they still couldn’t manage to write a complete sentence. Pax – C
