When going down the path to improving your financial life, you may get off track from time to time. If this happens to you, don’t beat yourself up over it. Rather, redirect your focus to doing better from now on, and continue to move forward. This is sound advice, but not always easy to implement. Negative thoughts can plague any of us after a financial setback, making it feel near impossible to move on.
Maybe you’re tired of budgeting, having to say no to your family’s wants, and working all of the time. It is inevitable that you are going to feel defeated every once in a while. Fortunately, there is a lot you can do about it. Consider doing the following to cure your finance blues:
1. Celebrate each get-out-of-debt achievement. At the very least, take some time to acknowledge what you’ve achieved. Perhaps you got one of your creditors to agree to lower the interest you are paying, or you landed a part-time job that will enable you to pay off your debts more quickly. Celebrating your achievements, no matter how trivial, can help reinvigorate your resolve and keep you moving forward.
2. Stay active. Exercise is a fantastic way to relieve stress and frustration. So when you’re feeling blue, don’t simple sit down in front of the television. Go jogging or walking, take a bike ride, go swimming, or play your sport of choice.
3. Look for things to laugh about. Rent a comedic movie, spend time with a funny friend, watch your favorite sitcom, read the comic section of your newspaper, or check out a comedy website. A good laugh is cathartic.
4. Find fun things to do. There are many of ways of having a good time inexpensively. Read a good book, play a board game, do puzzles with your family, go to the park, do some gardening, or plan a picnic.
5. Count your blessings. Take pleasure in the positive things in your life. Volunteering for a food drive or homeless shelter is a great way to get rid of the “woe is me” mentality and to put things into perspective.
6. Accept what you can’t change. If your financial difficulties are the result of things you you can’t control, lamenting your predicament is a waste time. Accept what happened and simply move on.
7. Find serenity through prayer or meditation. Whether it’s a church or synagogue, your home, or a camping ground, find a quiet place where you can re-energize your spirit. Use prayer or meditation to separate yourself from the negativity encompassing your life.

pregnant with # 2, 31 weeks on friday. my first was big (8.14) i had GD (found out in third trimester)and again with this one(found out on month 2), however this baby is smaller because I have maintained my weight and she is just over a pound lighter at this time than my first. My first had been faced up and the large part of her head was pushing on my bones so I had lots of back pain and I was normal to dialate and thined out, but I would not open. only pushed 45 min and was offered a c section. took it due to the back pain and no progress, also I had an uperdural( 2, 1st only numbed one side). anyways everything with the surgery was normal. I want a vaginal birth, but says no because they dont do VBACs. I really like this doctor, but I dont know what to do. should I just have another c section? I hate the longggggg recovery. Oh and I am 35 pounds lighter with this pregnancy,
I understand it is hard to find a doctor that you really like… but I would at least get a 2nd or 3rd opinion maybe? If it is possible for you to deliver vaginally, that should be your call, and the doctor should honor that. If you can find another doctor that says it is possible, maybe ask your original doctor again, and if he is totally against it, if it is really important to you I would switch… Good luck!!
