Well, the world of projection is certainly a good place to think badly informed, so be informed. I'll try to keep this guide as simple as possible.
Things to look at buying a projector:
Manufacturer / Brand
There are many projector manufacturers these days that make it seems impossible to choose. But to do simplest, most manufacturers now use parts supplied by another manufacturer. In other words, all parties in a projector is manufactured by the same manufacturer. Thus, many projectors and similar components built. Always read the comments published in computer magazines and online magazines on computer before you buy high end / high priced projector. Look for a company that offers the best warranty and support. Brands like Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, in short, View Sonic, Mitsubishi, Epson are among the best there is.
Technology
There are many technologies available today. However, the two main types are LCD and DLP. In simple DLP stands for Digital Light Processing uses the width Hair of small mirrors to reflect light onto a screen. DLP offers a better overview, but cost more. So for home users, it is preferable to opt for a basic LCD projector, because there are much lower prices and greater availability. They also offer image excellent LCD projector which is comparable to the DLP. Larger companies and companies submitting DLP and to find a better choice.
There are also projections panels. Projecting signs are a way to show the transparency that is placed on a normal projector used to project the same type of video sources Using normal projector. Projection panels are less expensive than the types described above.
Spotlights are an old CRT projection technology that is most used today.
Resolution
The resolution is very important aspect to consider when buying a projector. Many older models are VGA (640 * 480) and SVGA (800 * 600), these models are good for watching movies and other low resolution images, but not enough for projecting high quality images required by the high-end application such as 3D modeling, gaming, simulators and CAD. See table just below:
640 * 480 (VGA) resolution is good for video games, VHS, VCD and DVD to independent users. This panel is ideal for HUM want to keep costs to a minimum.
800 * 600 (SVGA), decisions are ideal for PC-based DVD playback and normal operation of Windows and. (With all the above)
1024 * 768 (XGA) resolution is perfect for high resolution games and applications design such as AutoCAD (besides all the above)
1280 * 1024 (SXGA) resolution is perfect for HDTV applications and software that require high level of detail (in addition to everything above)
Color Depth
State color depth to what extent it represents the color display LCD. The number of colors a monitor or LCD screen can display. A good depth of color is 16 bits but 24 bits is highly recommended is the depth of color that most panels are high end projection.
Lamps
One important thing to consider is the type of lamp used. Check the price of replacement lamps and life expectancy. It would not even if you buy a cheap projector and then discover that each Replacement lamp cost $ 400. Models of new lamp will operate for a minimum of 10,000 hours.
Brightness
The brightness is expressed in lumens. The more lumens the better the image is displayed in the lighting conditions. Some models The new projector can display a bright, even with the light on. 2000 lumens is a good choice for home use. Choose 3000-4000 for showrooms and items of work requiring a bright image in a room too dark. Rating below 2000 Lumens as the low price of 1300 models must be operated in a room full dark (Pitch Black).
Connections
Connectivity is a very important factor when choosing a projector. Composite, S-Video and RGB is almost standard in most models. RGB will connect your desktop or laptop, composite and S-Video for connecting DVD players and VCRs. Some but new models are DVI which can also be connected to systems of high quality video as a video editor or digital video cameras. A remote control is a necessity, not WAN to leave his comfortable chair every five minutes. Some applications require two RGB connections for simultaneous display of different video sources, so be sure to consult if necessary.
Long Shot / Short thrown projection
It is important to decide where to place the projector. If the projector is placed in front of an audience, you need the short projector. And if you need put the projector where some facing the audience (Away from the screen) you need a long throw projector. What happens when you use the short race for a projector behind the request for hearing is that the image is too large to fit on the screen, and if you use a jet along projector over short distances to obtain an image very small and unclear.
DIY Projector
Well, that's interesting. Did you know that you can build projector yourself, is really not that difficult and it will cost a fraction of retail price? You must have basic knowledge with DIY projects. The picture quality is very good that you do not believe. Although a little patience is needed to complete the projector.

Please help me with my projector? "
OK, well three days ago that my projector just turn off during the match. who will last for about thirty seconds, the status light blinks continuously and disappears. I think we need a bulb of new lamp because the fire pit that is clear and bright, but just do not stay. Please can tell if I need a new lamp or a light bulb again ... and if you know a place where I can get the parts for cheap. I have a Mitsubishi HC900 thank you for any help!
It sounds like it is overheating. Make sure the filter and all that follows from powder, and maybe put a small fan to cool nearby. If only the lamp is extinguished. Weeder
