Pottery at this time and place was made by the coil method – that is: after the clay was dug out of the ground and tempered (wetted down and worked and let stand to make it uniform), pieces of clay were rolled between the hands into thin snake like pieces. These pieces were placed on top of each other making coils and the coils were smoothed together inside and out to make the shape and the surface. After drying, the clay was polished with a stone and when many were made they were fired in a wood burning kiln.
However, I think you might check – it seems unlikely to me that male-female teaching would be going on in such a society. Unless you have counter evidence, the women would teach the girls and the females would be making pottery while the boys would be learning hunting from their fathers.
