You probably know that using video can make you a fortune, but what do you do? How does a stay at home mom, building a stay at home mom’s business opportunity, afford such a powerful marketing method? After all, I think 1 million dollars is out of most of our budgets.
The answer is the internet. Never before in the history of the world has there been such a powerful outlet for reaching people. Just a few years ago, the technology limited the internet to simple web pages with an occasional flash presentation. Today, you can get live video and audio from all over the world.
What makes this exciting for YOU is that while it takes enormous amounts of money to run television commercials, you can place video ads online for FREE.
YouTube, Metacafe, and soapbox.msn are just a few of the hundreds of sites you can place your videos online. You’ll be amazed as to how many people watch them. The videos will also be indexed in Google. Therefore, someone can be searching for what you have, and find your video in Google.
To make a good marketing video you need, at the very least, a web cam. Make sure you have good lighting. Also make sure you are happy, energetic, and don’t look nervous. Feel free to practice as many times as you need until you get it right. Many computers today come standard with a web cam. If you don’t have one, they can be purchased very inexpensively.
If you really want to make good videos, you should invest in a camcorder. If you are a stay at home mom (or are trying to become one), you should get one simply to record the memories of your children while they are young.
Having a camcorder really opens up the doors to what you can do with video. A web cam is limited to your home office. The picture is not that great either in most cases. A camcorder can go anywhere you want.
Going on vacation? Record video. Spending the day at the park with your children? Record video. Visiting family or friends? You know the answer by now.
Your video will be shaper with a camcorder and you can pick any setting to which you have access.
Again, lighting is important. YOU should be facing the sun. Yes, that may be uncomfortable, but the video is much better if YOU face the sun instead of the camera.
Be creative when making your videos too. While it may seem obvious that you make videos about your stay at home mom’s business opportunity, don’t stop there.
Make videos about your hobbies, your children, or other non-business things. Then simply brand you website on the video and post it. People, who watch your video because they want to see footage of your cruise, may be curious about the website on the bottom and visit the site.
Video truly can provide that edge you need to drive more traffic to your website. It’s simple to do and FREE. If you have not given any thought to marketing with video, I hope you will start today.
