I doubt you’ll have anything to worry about. Regular incandescent bulbs will be with us for a very long time. There will always be exceptions, such as the interior light in an oven for example, where a compact fluorescent just won’t work. There’s also millions of antique lamps, appliances and other devices (like lava lamps) that were designed specifically for regular light bulbs. CF lamps won’t work in them, so your lava lamp is safe….at least, for the foreseeable future.
